Welcome to the Ffordd Draig Karate Club
Karate is regarded as the art of unarmed combat whereby parts of the body are used as weapons. It is an extremely interesting sport which provides an exciting and exhilarating challenge for all ages.
Expanding principles and methodology of Karate as not only a sport but a lifestyle for all, to get involved in some form of learning, "Kara-te", (open hand), Wado Ryu also has been developed as one of the five major recognised aspects of Martial Art within our organisation. The principles being developed around jujitsu based, "paired" sparring, offensive and defensive reaction and predominantly inclusive Tai-sabaki (hip evasion).
Ffordd Draig Karate Club currently offer a wide range of services including:
- Master Class Seminars
- Squad Training Sessions
- Womens self-defence classes
- Individually designed fitness programmes and more
